The foundations for today’s Stena Group were laid on 18 November 1939 when the Sten A Olsson Metallprodukter trading company was founded. In the following years the company expanded both inside and outside the country’s borders. Sten A Olsson Foundation Scholarship – Report The scholarship has been used to finance a research trip to China in order to collect data as part of our master thesis. The trip took place during the month of April 2014 and below follows a brief report of our stay in China as well as the final results from our thesis.

1995 Stefan Olsson is a part owner of Stena Sphere, a privately held Swedish conglomerate. Interests include cruising, shipping, offshore drilling, property and metal recycling. Stena is one of the largest family-owned business groups in Sweden and operates worldwide. The Stena Sphere is comprised of three parent companies: Stena AB, Stena Sessan AB and Stena Metall AB.
